Mount Waverley Reserve Pavilion

LOCAL WIN!

The Mount Waverley Pavilion is now completed!

Back in 2021, hundreds of local residents and members of the Mount Waverley Blues Football Netball Club and Mount Waverley Cricket Club signed my petition calling on the Victorian Government to commit funding to help deliver the Mount Waverley Reserve master plan.

In the 2022/23 State Budget, the Andrews Labor Government committed $2 million towards upgrading the reserve’s oval and pavilion.

Now in 2025, the pavilion is completed.

As your voice in the State Government and your Local State Labor Member, I’ve been proud to deliver for local community sport clubs.

The Mount Waverley Reserve master plan, funded as part of the 2019 Victorian Budget and since completed by The City of Monash, outlines a plan for future upgrades and improvements of this facility aimed at supporting and increasing sport, recreation and physical activity within our community. This is an opportunity for partnership with all levels of government, local stakeholders and the community to work towards this shared vision, delivering collaboratively for our community.

In 2021, I met with the Minister for Community Sport and spoke in Parliament about the benefit these upgrades could bring to our local sporting clubs.

Thanks to your support, we were about to secure a win for the Mount Waverley Reserve. In the 2022/23 State Budget, the Andrews Labor Government committed $2 million towards upgrading the Reserve’s oval and pavilion.

Construction commenced in 2024, and the pavilion is completed. I am looking forward to seeing our local community make the most of this new pavilion.

August 2025

I was proud to be part of the official opening of the Mount Waverley Reserve Pavilion, alongside my federal colleague, Carina Garland, and Mayor of Monash, Paul Klisaris. This project has been a true community effort, and it was wonderful to see so many locals come together to celebrate the opening of this modern, inclusive facility. The new pavilion will provide a welcoming space for players, families, and visitors for many years to come, strengthening community connections and encouraging more people to get active.
