Mount Waverley Needs a Fenced Off-Leash Dog Park

On Dogs in Politics Day, I presented my submission to Monash City Council alongside the nearly 500 signatures we received.
During the State Election, Labor committed to build 6 new dog parks and upgrade 28 across Victoria - including here in Mount Waverley.
Thank you for showing your support and being part of the campaign for a fenced off-leash dog park in our community.
Early in 2022, I heard from residents about how much they wanted a fenced off-leash area in the electorate. Prior to this, the Monash City Council had no plans to open one in the area. This prompted me to table a submission with 500 of your signatures to the Monash City Council.
Fast forward to the 2023 Budget released in May, funding has been included to build the fenced off-leash dog park in Mount Waverley.
